Is it Silly to Talk to a Cow?

Is it Silly to Talk to a Cow?

$20.00

A silly (and slightly longish) poem about cows and the things they do. For kids (though it does talk about peeing!). By Vivien Straus.

Excerpt:

“You’ll see cows run for absolutely no reason,

Down the hills in every season.

Suddenly stopping in their tracks,

Grazing on grass, their anytime snacks.

Once they’ve stopped, I start to chat,

To find out where their thoughts are at.

They look at me with perplexed confusion;

Wondering at my strange intrusion.”

Softcover book, 20 pages.

About Vivien: Vivien grew up on her family’s dairy in Marshall. She ran away to Hollywood to become an actress until the cows wooed her back to help build her brother’s company, Straus Family Creamery, where she served as VP of Marketing. Later she worked at Cowgirl Creamery. Currently, she manages Straus Home Ranch. She also created and manages California’s CheeseTrail.org, which helps promote cheesemakers, and by extension, small farmers. She wrote and performed the one-woman show, E-i-E-i-OY! In Bed with the Farmer’s Daughter, and occasionally makes people listen to autobiographical stories about her ridiculous life.
